During my December appointment my eyeball doctor discovered that I was carving stamps of some (20) zoom people. He had asked what I was doing lately and I showed him a photograph of my printing setup. To my surprise this excited him and caused him to ask (beg) me to make one of him. “But you’re not a zoom person. I’m only doing zoom people.” I offered him a link to a Friday figure drawing session where he could show up and be a zoom person but he had the lame excuse that he would be seeing patients at that time. Well, he wore me down. I told him to sit way across the room, remove his mask for a moment and snapped a pic with iPat. At home I sketched his face in my sketchbook with a brush pen as I always do with zoom people. The next day, or so, I carved, printed and collaged him. At my January appointment, afraid he might not like the prints, I waited until he was finished with me before I gave them to him. His eyes lit up, he was amazed. “The best gift ever!”
