Phew. I made it. Every one.

I’m using this next week.

These are nice books. They even feel nice.

I just want to spend it. Did not want to draw it. I had it pose three times. This is pose #1 and #2 combined. #3 was too embarrassed to show itself.

The next one could also fit the category of DANGER. ‘Cause I have no control once it’s in the house. I have gotten so quick at drawing that it didn’t even have a moment to realize it should be melting.

This was drawn from a photo I took at the Met some years ago. So far the first EDiM from a photo this year.

You all saw this the other day but my OCD self needs it in the proper order so to keep the peace I am obedient.

I stand here because that is where the door ends up and I can beat everyone else into the train.

The stapler in the Volunteer Gig mail room is a tad more interesting than their microwave in the kitchen alcove. Hmm. I have three file folders of papers that need a heavy duty stapler. Hmm. Did I see a heavy duty hole puncher?

Trust me. This soap dispenser at work is much better to draw than my sliver of soap in the green plastic dish. I eschew antibacterial soap as a rule but this is the exception. After all I work in a microbiology lab. The little buggers are all over the place.

I’m just grateful the lock works.

I’m gonna eat it right now. The list forced me to do this.

Sigh.

And, so you all don’t think I’m totally lame, here’s a sketch done while on the uptown bus last Wednesday.

My quasi-mantel on the kitchen side of the fireplace. The two unfinished Bendi dolls are probably some of the least dusty things in the house since I periodically brush against them and shake them after I pick them up off the floor. The framed artwork are pieces that I entered into shows a zillion years ago. There are two etchings, directly behind the dolls: one a beach landscape and the other two old guys nodding off on a bench at Jones Beach. The other four are monotypes – two still life’s (?) with chine collĂ© and two townscapes – all out of my imagination. The brass vase was a gift from an old boyfriend. Well, HE wasn’t old, it was given to me in the Olden Days.

I have a cracked window but it is an extremely boring window. The microwave is chock full of thrills compared to my window. Probably there are all sorts of cracks in this place but I firmly do not want to know about any of them. Nope. I am now erasing my mind of anything cracked.

The printer at the volunteer gig yesterday was Seriously Making Me Doubt My Sanity so I decided to sketch their microwave as quickly as possible without getting “caught” in the process. Even though I’m not getting paid for losing my mind there is such a thing as a Work Ethic which I seemed to have picked up somewhere. Now that I think of it I don’t remember anyone actually telling me about such a thing. Is it a case of Monkey See, Monkey Do? Is that all it is?

The drawing is 100%-ish accurate and the colors are pretty much dragged out of my head.
