I sketched Shawne and Suzanne as they sketched.

We walked over to Washington Square Park for our lunch break – and some sketching.

I walked to another bench, turned my back to the sketchers and fountain and looked across the street.

Between Carmine and Bleeker Streets in the West Village is a small triangular park with a large fountain, lots of benches and trees. A cool haven. I sketched some NYC Urban Sketchers as they drew the fountain.

The NYC Urban Sketchers spent the day in the West Village. After lunch we walked to LaGuardia Place and found a huge stone Picasso sculpture surrounded by buildings. I walked around it and discovered another version of the face and a shady spot to sit.
