ArtRage app, brand new Sensu brush and clogged up head

Advertisements

I spent all day today farting around with yesterday’s (see yesterday, smirk) drawing.

I have a stinkin’ nose-clogging cold, and, try as hard as I can am unable to blame it on June which is a shame. I got a lot of mileage (brain exercise) out of her last year. Tonight I’m going to take one of those nighttime over the counter DRUGS that make you feel as if your head is floating and looking over your left shoulder instead of sitting quietly where it belongs. **

A big storm with snow, rain and high winds is coming tonight. Well, really it has already started with sleet – looking out the window, at around 2:30 pm, I was tricked into believing it was a drizzle – ha! Tiny hard pellets greeted me as I stepped outside. I’m going to hunker down with a library book for the evening and think about lopsided things.

ArtRage app, Pogo Sketch stylus combined with Star Trek overdose and my lack of self-editing.

She wanted a picture of me and The Recliner Studio Annex for her 2012 Remains Of The Day (a spectacular book, BTW, and I’m not just saying that because we all star prominently in it. Nope, that’s not the reason.). THEY all had a nice laugh picturing me setting the timer on my camera and running to get in The Recliner. Ha ha. Back and forth, back and forth until I get the perfect snapshot. THEY all gave suggestions. Skype was mentioned and then to my horror THEY threatened to drop by and ring the doorbell (“Yikes! Just a minute! Gotta dust and vacuum. Be right there.”). –
Don’t they know by now that I’m just toooooo lazy for all this?

So this is what she’s getting: Updated Recycled Art. The TRUE STORY. None of that sweat provoking, heart rate increasing, back/forth camera timing, dusting and vacuuming. **
Sketch Club and ArtRage apps, Pogo Sketch stylus; yawn. I’m going to rest for a bit before I click the “button” and e-mail it to her. All this activity takes its toll on a person.

Journal spreads from earlier this year. The first was done at Shirley’s house where we all gathered around the dining room table, channelled Adolph Gottlieb, and produced our own pictographs.

This next one is just me, the journal, pens, markers, digital printouts of my “100 Portraits” ? la Carla Sondheim, a glue stick and The Recliner.

Now I think I’ll go out, in the the rain, return some library books and bring home lots more.

As an aside: a strange thing happened yesterday. I went to the mall, walked two miles, had a coffee and then visited the Apple store – my ear buds are getting ragged – but it was too crowded. I stopped at the display of iPad Minis. Hmm. Paper 53 was available on the device I picked up. I should check out what drawing is like on the smaller screen. I opened the app to an empty page and started to draw the man standing on the opposite side of the table – using the index finger of my Wrong Hand. Automatically!
