The virtual tour of the New York Botanical Garden’s Orchid Show was led by a guide who didn’t once fumble over the complicated Latin names of the flowers. I was impressed as they, one after another, slipped smoothly over his tongue. Yes, the tape was probably edited many times but it was still impressive.

Referred to a screenshot from the virtual tour.

Yesterday I attended a virtual meetup at the New York Botanical Garden where we were taken on a tour of the Orchid Show. It was organized by the Westchester branch of the NYC Urban Sketchers and instead of driving up to who-knows-where and having to maintain distancing I was comfortable in my recliner, an annex of my studio.

Referred to screenshots of various orchids.
