I used, as a reference, a drawing done while in a very loud sports bar near Union Square. No, I don’t hang out in bars with football blaring on the TV. After one of the NYC Urban Sketchers outings last year it was where we ended the day and everyone showed their sketches from the day. And everyone lost their hearing forevermore.

A piece of thin Japanese printmaking paper was placed onto an inked copper plate and, with a ball point pen that no longer had ink, I drew, referring to a drawing I made, from direct observation, on the back of the Japanese paper. This was the resultant transfer monotype.
