Then I did another one. I referred to a drawing of some NYC Urban Sketchers (and a tourist) on the High Line. This time I noticed there was a whole lot of ink left on the plate so I decided to work on that and perhaps get a proper monotype printed as well. You’re not going to see that one though. Bleh!

A piece of thin Japanese printmaking paper was placed onto an inked copper plate and, with a ball point pen that no longer had ink, I drew, referring to a drawing I made, from direct observation, on the back of the Japanese paper. This was the resultant transfer monotype.
