This time I used my brain. It was a very hot day so I took the bus up to The Met instead of walking and committing suicide by heatstroke. I walked through the Prints Galleries, nothing new, and, feeling lethargic and ho hum-ish, wandered over to the contemporary galleries. This painting by Gauguin beckoned me over so I took out my gridded notebook, pencil and eraser and stood in front of it for awhile.

Sketched from direct observation. Color added later at home referring to a photo I took after I finished copying it.
Gridded notebook and Pencil/Pitt fine pen, photographed using iPad and then imported into Sketch Club for color (ArtRage used for texture only). iPad; New Trent Arcadia stylus.
