Union Square is just a couple of blocks from the Salmagundi Club so it seemed fitting that all my prints should be the bench people I like to sketch. This was my last monotype for the day. Pooped. Worn out. Plum tuckered. I considered walking back to Penn Station but after I smacked myself I walked to the subway instead.

Referring to a sketch, that had been drawn from life in a tiny gridded notebook one day while in Union Square Park, I drew/painted the image on the copper plate that was used in the monotype process. Oil based printing ink, Arches printmaking paper, etching press.
