On Wednesday I met up with Shirley, Benedicte and Teri, and, after breakfast for lunch we wore ourselves out traipsing in and out of galleries on the Upper East Side. A million stairs were climbed. Then, in a spirit of masochism, Benedicte and I decided on making a quick (zoom through the 6th floor then zoom through the 3rd) stop in MOMA right before they chased everyone out. Fifth avenue was still closed from the Veterans Day parade – we smelled horses so cleanup must have been the reason – and no buses were around so I opted for the E Train which took forever to arrive, missed the train at Penn Station and, as usual, I was forced to look at the commuters.
