This time I walked from Penn Station, along Broadway to Madison Square, pushed my way through the lunchtime crowds lining up in front of the snazzy food carts/wagons/whatevers (hey! I didn’t know these were here!), kept walking until I reached Union Square, detoured to the ladies room on the third floor of Barnes & Noble, bought a package of three fresh baked oatmeal cookies (for later – yum) in the Farmers Market, rode the #5 subway to Wall Street, continued walking to the ladies room in Battery Park (ahem, largish coffee in Penn Station with my lunch before I started walking) and reached South Cove with enough time to sketch a couple of sketchers.

Since I did a bunch of walking earlier I opted to ride the bus all the way back uptown to Penn Station after the Figure al Fresco session.

I took out iPat and made myself comfortable.

I did get off the bus about five blocks before the station. I could walk quicker than the bus could get through the traffic.
